Rallye’s are very rare in this part of the world, with only 10
registered owners on the 106 Rallye Register to date. A few more are
popping up here and there for sale in Ireland, but they are still a very
rare sight on our roads.
Our members area was only setup late last year, but we still managed our
first official meet up on (a cold) 11th December 2005 in Dundalk, Co.
Louth. A good nights’s fun was had by all who attended and hopefully
it will be the first of many meet ups to come in the future.
Next year I’m looking forward to organising a road trip to The French
Car Show in May, attending some of the larger rallying events around the
country such as The Circuit of Ireland, Killarney and Donegal Rally’s
etc, trackdays at Mondello Park, Kirkistown Race Track and hopefully
other related events which we can bring the cars to and display them.
2006 should be a fun year for us with meet up’s and events and
hopefully we will have a few more new members joining us.
